ALLENTOWN, Pa. – The Lehigh County Coroner has confirmed that the body of a missing 5-year-old autistic boy has been recovered from the Lehigh Canal. Family members, friends, volunteers and police officers had been searching since Thursday night for Jayliel Vega, who went missing around 11 p.m. Friday afternoon, a bloodhound tracked the boy’s scent to the area of the America On Wheels Museum, located at Hamilton and North Front streets, but police were unable to find Vega.
